MTNXploaded product design

MTNXploaded was an initiative to promote local unsigned musical talent. We designed a portal for the artist to promote and sell their music via a WAP and WEB portal. We investigated various user-generated mechanisms to enable the quick uploading of content and the rendering of music file types into various formats for as many handsets as possible. This is one of the most exciting projects we have worked as we could include many customer-focussed functionalities.

AFCON 2009

In preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2010 MTN decided to pilot the WAP offering for AFCON across Africa to understand uptake and consumption of content within the continent. As most countries within Africa are French speaking the site had to cater for dual language broadcasting of the live events and for as many handsets as possible. Great success and learning were gained from this exercise in preparation for 2010. We delivered a full UI spec including ID numbers for translation and integration of live feeds in dual languages.
