Working with project sponsors we help define the business requirements as well as the implications coming from the requirements. Using high level illustrations and diagrams (screen flows, rough wireframes) to clarify areas of uncertainty and outlining the impact to the information architecture and action upcoming tasks.We planned, prototyped and tested initial concepts and flows with users. Communicated any user testing impact on objectives of new projects. We created the process flows, wireframes and drafting the document that was used to sign off on the exact functionality changes. We defined the lower level interaction and the functional details in the user interface specification, which were used by the tech team during implementation. We responded to tech team requests for additional clarification on documentation and/or solving unforeseen problems with the specified design. We maintained a holistic and detailed view of the entire site, maintaining all the documentation for the site, ensuring consistency in interaction design, naming systems, navigational elements.
We worked on the Loydds TSB account for ModemMedia to re-design the banks portal applications changing their brochure-ware site to standard online banking portal applications.We created various calculators and functionality to enable the user to make informed decisions for the current account and savings & investment products.We also worked on their shareview product, redesigning the application to be more user-friendly. We did a full site assessment, created a process flows, sitemaps, detailed wireframes as well as the functional specifications for the development teams.

GM Motors requested an independent concept review from ModemMedia for the global Opel site re-design, which was being done by another agency. There was a concern that stakeholder buy-in had not been received for the new design, as well as concerns were raised over the functionality and navigation of the new site. We were asked to perform a usability review on the concepts and a competitor analysis to help with the buy-in process, we were also expected to consider the brand positioning in the market place. We presented to the client as an independent usability party, focussing on strategy and presenting a list of deliverables which would enable buy-in from all the stakeholders. The presentation was well received and led to the capturing of this account by ModemMedia
We were on secondment at Transport for London working on their extranet for their transactional borough’s area. We were involved in planning, documentation & presentation to various departments ensuring all their requirements were captured and buy-in from these departments were received. We created high-level process flows and wireframes for user validation and business sign-off ensuring technical constraints (SAP) were met. We wrote a complete functional specification and therefore worked closely with the tech team to ensure the solution was within their budget and expertise. The product went live with complete buy-in from all the departments and boroughs, no helpdesk tickets raised in the first week of launch and the system was stable with no system errors or downtime occuring. "A first for the public sector" The success of this project was mainly due to involving all the relevant parties early on in the project. Perfoming validation testing and user testing with the boroughs enabled all parties to feel part of the new application re-design.
We worked on the First Choice re-design tender at Framfab Oyster in a strategic role, where we had to deliver a presentation about current trend in the market place to establish the scope of the tender.We had to illustrate that we have researched the market thoroughly to gain the client's trust and show our ability to think in a strategic manner
We were responsible for the project management and creative direction of the internet and intranet sites. We were involved in the client liaison, website design, user testing and evaluation of the external websites. We were involved cross-departmental negotiations and building client relationships and were responsible for producing project proposals, project plans, status reports, budget and timescale proposals and maintaining all the project documentation, hiring freelancers as per project, writing creative and development briefs as well as scheduling the workload for the developers and designers.
We were hired to re-design the site from design to code. We created wireframes and process flows, signing-off on functionality. We then progressed to concepting getting approval and coding the site. We needed to code the site in simple HTML and write a manual to enable the client to update the site with minimal techinical knowledge.
We were responsible for defining a solution for the web on behalf of Rufus Leonard. We were hired to lead art direction and web design with new product launches and site redesigns. We worked closely with the developers creating the process flows and functional specifications for the sites. We worked on the new C-class site from starting blocks through to final delivery, creating pitch presentations, concept designs, site structure, information flow, the flash work. We worked with the advertising agency to ensure synergy through all advertising mediums. We were involved on the Smart e-commerce site from initial pitch work to process flows of the site. We were comissioned by EasyIMedia to create concept templates to extend their portfolio for clients presentations. The focus of the templates were for corporate training applications.
We worked on secondment from Rufus Leonard working for Royal Mail with the IBM programmers. We had to come up with quick accurate solutions and foreseeing any pitfalls with later developments of their portal site. We then progressed into strategy and consultation, researching current user trends with regards to information flow, navigation and user experience for the future content migration. We created various documentation and presentations in regards to phasing and where the interface will need to be adjusted to cater for the migration. After the documentation presentation was approved we were hired to design and amend the website to fit into the Documentum content management system, designing the interface for the website, supplying template designs and strict style guidelines for the development team. We were asked to perform a critical website audit of the site and to include a list of quickwins and changes required to make the site more usable. No functionality was allowed to be amended for the possible solutions. We then also supplied new designs to bring the site more up-to-date
We had to define the business requirements from workshops with the business units affected by this new application. We had to research the financial advisory sector & create an online approach to a paper-based transaction within mergers and aquisitions sector, creating wireframes, process flows and functional specification. We designed the front-end of the site, the application had been built, but there was problems with the usability of the application. We were asked to review the application and resolve the usability issues in the form an interface, which would make it easier to use for the potential customer.
We were asked to work on the tender for Bacardi Breezer, coming up with concepts for their new interactive site and illustrating these with wireframes and explaining the functionality. The tender was successful and has consequently been used.
